Hi and welcome to my website, my name is Linda MacLeod and I am an experienced counsellor/psychotherapist. I’ve been working in the field of mental health for over 10 years and I believe mental health is everyone’s business.
Counselling/psychotherapy offers you the opportunity to talk in a safe and contained space where you can be supported to work through the issues that are troubling you. It helps you reflect on your past experiences and understand your ‘script’ (Your script refers to learnt behaviours from early childhood experiences.) Understanding our script, be it conscious or subconscious, helps us have a better understanding of who we are and why we do the things we do.
Counselling/psychotherapy supports us to make the necessary changes we want to make in our lives, it also encourages us to manage and maintain our mental health and well-being. In doing so, it helps us develop and sustain healthier relationships particularly, with the people we love and are attached too.
